Well people, looks like the drought isn't letting up quite yet Wearing: Gap sweatshirt material skirt and stretchy top with a glittery 7 on it. I was just scrapbooking, but had to stop in the middle of a page because I was not inspired. I know that sounds kinda weird, being "inspired" to make a scrapbook page, but it's really true. If I'm not inspired, the page I'm working on usually doesn't turn out well. It's not like a beam of light from heaven shines down on me and tells me what to do, but more like a huge light bulb goes off in my head and I get this great idea for a page. That's what my mom and I call "being inspired." Does that make any sense? I know if there are any scrapbook-ers out there reading this, they will get it. Sorry to all of you non-scrapbook-ers. While I'm at it, anyone who doesn't scrapbook, really should. It's a lot of fun and make your photographs much more interesting to look at. I also must warn you that it's very addictive. Once you begin scrapbooking, it's very hard-almost impossible-to stop. You begin buying all the cute stickers, papers, die cuts etc. thinking "I know I'll need this sometime, I think there's a picture I have that will be perfect for this sticker..." even though you never use it. And you will also begin taking pictures with pages in mind. For example, you take a picture of your friend eating ice cream because you know you have that adorable paper with sprinkles on it that you can make a page out of. Believe me, it may sound a little weird and out-of-control, but it's so much fun! There's even entire stores devoted to scrapbook supplies. The one near me is called The Scrapbook Station and it has every possible scrapbooking supply imaginable. I actually had my birthday party there two years ago. Everyone had a lot of fun. So, what I'm getting to is, you should all begin scrapbooking...now! And hopefully the page I started before will be easier to finish later if I am inspired. Oh yeah! I just remembered, today Melissa's mom is picking up the roll of film which has her pictures from Switzerland and also, more importantly, the picture of Melissa, Julie, Steph and I with the to guys from DanseSing. Click here to read about that trip. I can't wait to see the picture tomorrow. I betcha it's a really bad picture, so bad that the people who develop the film didn't charge us for it, like they do sometimes if the picture is really bad. That's what happened to most of my Dream Street concert pictures, because I'm not a very good picture-taker in the first place and add in a huge crowd of screaming/jumping-up-and-down girls and my picture-taking skills go farther downhill. That would really suck if something like that happened. Or, Mrs. Mijares might have like, cut off the guys' heads. Nooo! Ok, I'm not gonna think about that anymore. I've been trying not to talk about Dream Street as much in my entries because I know not too many people who read my diary (besides Melissa of course) like them, so I thought that might take away readers or something. Not like my life is very much more interesting than DS, but you never know. Whoa whoa whoa, you don't know...Sorry, lyrics moment. Whenever I say "you never know" I have to start singing the song with the same title that is sung by Hanson. Speaking of Hanson-when is this new record gonna come out? According to Ike on the Hanson Hotline, "We are winding down here at the studio. We're finishing up some of the final rough mixes for some of the songs that we've been working on over the last month or so." That's basically the same thing they've been saying for like the last 6 months. I trust them to make it an incredible record, just like This Time Around, but why so long a wait!? This is definitely a very long Hanson Drought (yes, we even have a name for these big spaces in between records). At least the one between Middle of Nowhere and This Time Around had some stuff in between like Snowed In and the Live From Albertane tour and 3 Car Garage, but all they've had in between TTA and Album X2 is the TTA tour and that was all the way in the summer of 2000. 2 years is a loooong time! I'm so anxious. Don't worry, I'm not gonna give up on Hanson like I did in the drought between MON and TTA. I'm just not a very patient person. They better go on tour once this album is out too and they also had better come to Philly on that tour! Oh, update on the scrapbooking front. My mom is finishing that page I was stumped by at the beginning of the entry because I'm not having any good ideas and she says she is. Oh well, I don't mind. I couldn't think of anything anyway. Someone once told me the grass was much greener, on the other side/Well I paid a visit, and it's possible I missed it/So different, yet exactly the same/Till further notice/I'm in between/From where I'm standing/My grass is green/Someone once told me the grass was much greener, on the other side.-Theme song to As Told By Ginger, one of the best shows on Nickelodeon and one of the few in which the characters change clothes. It's sung by Macy Gray. ~Lindsay~ |
